A: have you got the latest version?
B: have you tried other same purpose softs?
C: is it for 1:1 copies or compressed copies? if not use DVD Shrink or others.
D: have you tried assisting softs. in coexistence with your rippers? eg AnyDVD or DVD43.

you must answer these questions...

yer soz for the lack of info :)

i have latest version of software
i backup iso. file with DVD Shrink (latest ver) then copy to disk with decrytper _ i'm backing up 'son of the mask' and have tried twice both stoppping why in the verifying stages the 1t time stop at 83% verified the other copy stopped about 24% ??

the odd time its happened before backing other disks the second backup always worked? using the same backing up process

the error reads something about check condition "i assume its stating the condition of the disk" - but should this prob be more in iso. backup, or occur whilst in the burning stage before its last stage of verifying??also i was burning a iso. file not from a disk?

later today i'll try once more and let u know what happened!!!!!

Check condition usually means it doesn't like the discs you are using.
What media are you using?
You can also click off the option to verify disc after burning.

I don't even verify anymore because about half my burns verified bad but played just fine. It just got to be a nuisance. Also what burn speed are you using?

yer on 1-2 occassions when the verified error occurred the backup did play- but most of the time the movie playd but was very stuttery/paused/and the pic was scrabbled at times ??

using DVD Decrypter (latest ver) mainly to record
dvd shrink (latest) to edit movie to iso.file

i though that verifying was closing the disk from its recording phase? if u dont verify the disc it leaves the session open (not that after you can add more to the disk??)

no, that's finalizing the disc. If you burn with Decrypter you shouldn't have a problem there, it should always finalize. Verifying is after the burn it reads what it just burns and compares it to the original.

Also, you never mentioned what speed you're burning at. That could play a part in this too.

ok thanks for that squizzle - so there's no real point in verifying a disk - it doesn't do anything major to enhance the copy??

i burn at 8X (and it works most of the time)

i guess i could do 2.4X and try that -
i'm goanna try and burn it now...............

Is this some kind of copy/proctection or more a recording error??
wots a good speed to backup?
i burn at 8x / with benq 8x dvd+R 4.7g

I seem to have better burns with benq 8x dvd-R 4.7g less faulty copies.....i use a sony Dru-700A

I've heard that some Benq discs aren't that great. Try burning at 4x, if that doesn't work, try different discs. I think media is the problem here.
