EA Sports BIG games and problems

Hello there,

I have made backup discs of various of my games (TimeSplitters3, SplinterCell3, Midnight Club, etc.) successfully using DVD Decrypter, but only the EA Sports BIG games (Fifa Street, NBA Street Basketball V3) do not work.

The backup disc creation does (!) work, BUT when I try to play these two games backups, the sound is getting stuck very (!) often, and the loading intervals take a lot of time.

Can anyone give me a step-by-step guide how to make these backups work properly (I have DVD Decrypter, Nero, DVD Shrink, DVD2One)?

What are you using to boot those games?Mod chip or swap magic. Fifa street needs to be patched for swapmagic I believe. And so does NBA Street. Infact, NBA Street needs rebuilding I think. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/173020 check out the link for info on that

thanks for your help!

My PS2 has a Modchip built in. So far, all the other game backups have been working fine (I needed the patch only for online gaming with those games), that's why I was a little surprised when it did not work out with the two EA Sports BIG games.

Yeah EA sports games are weird, in fact EA games in general are iffy on my PS2. Do you know what modchip you have? I have a DUO2 SE in mine, and I have to rebuild a lot of EA games in order to get them too boot. Try and rebuild both FIFA street and NBA street and post your results! Look out for dummy files in those games aswell

I'll take a look through the patch file sites, thank you.

And I agree. EA Games in general were difficult. I remember, Fifa 2005 caused certain problems in the beginning, and only (!) worked with Verbatim DVD -Rs. On all other DVDs it had this stuck sound problem.

You shouldnt need to patch it. Just follow the instructions in the link I gave you to rebuild it.
