Hi everyone,

I am new at DVD ripping so excuse me if these questions have been asked and are simple questions.

My first question is when I watch a DVD on my computer the color is very vibrant and clear. But, when I copy the DVD to WMV or whatever I lose alot of color. Is there a way to fix this?

My second question is when I use MPEG4 Direct Maker to copy my DVD movies I copy to WMV 9 and WMA 9.1. On default, the bitrate is set to 800kbps. Is there a noticable difference between 800kbps and 1000kbps?

wmv quality sucks. You might want to rip it into AVI format. The size is smaller, it keep the same quality as the original dvd.
