Hello everybody!
Will anyone help me? All I want to use is freeware. I recorded some TV films and shows with my top deck LG DVD recorder on a DVD-RW disk, planning to delete commercials and contents I do not want with any free video editor (VirtualDubMPEG2 was my choice) and then record a DVD-R definite disk. Using DVD Decrypter I transferred the contents in a single .VOB file (2,25 Gbyte) to my hard disk. Then I loaded this file into VirtualDubMPEG2 and marked and deleted the scenes not to be kept. But when I tried to save the edited result, only a huge .AVI file could be saved (178 Gbyte sized project, which was far larger than my 120 GByte HD size!!!). As I am new at VirtualDubMPEG2 and did not want to give up, I converted this .VOB file into a .MPG video file with VOB2MPG freeware and tried to load it into Pinnacle Studio 9 (bundled with my Toshiba CD/DVDW SDR-6472 DVD writer), but this programme froze and I had to reboot my OS. Then I gave a try to Microsoft Movie Maker (included with my OS, Windows XP Home Edition, SP2), with similar results as Pinnacle Studio 9. How can I edit this video file and get a manageable .VOB file to fit a DVD project?.
