Hi Folks! Wondering if someone can REALLY help me out? You see, I've got my son's video collection on my Sony DCRTRV22 and I've recently recorded it on my computer. The problem is that the time and date doesn't show cause that code is "Analog". I've called every Sony Store and they can't give me a straight answer but one answer seemed to make sense.

How can I add the date & time on the video as a subtitle so I may just turn it off and on as I like, cause I've got like 8 MiniDv's to transfer on to DVD. Which program do I need to use to create the time and date from every frame and then use to attach onto my avi file?? I mean if this was any other movie then I wouldn't even bother with the subtitles. Since this is like a video of my son than time & date is definately important.

Thanks for your help folks!

I had the same problem. As I understand it AVI files don't show the time stamp automatically. I found this software on the videohelp.com site. It's called DV Time Stamp. Basically, it takes your AVI file, copies it, and stamps a time and date stamp to it. You can modify the settings to fade in/ fade out, different languages (like Japanese), font size, time displayed (the whole time or for about 10 seconds- Think X-Files)
Here's the link.

At the site you can download a trial version which is basically identical to the purchased version. It stamps trial along with your time and date. I tried it out, and purchased the regular version. The creator will then email you the file after they receive the payment. For me the turnaround was within a few hours. Hope this helps. muchu
