i'm using dvd shrink and when i click back-up it starts out pretty fast but as soon as my buffered thing gets to 128 mb it slows right down and takes forever to encode. i have a pentium 4, 1.5 ghz, 128mb of ram. any help would be great cause ive seen lots of people use this program and it usually takes them 30-45 minutes to do the whole process while it takes me over 2 hours.

Whats probably slowing you down is the 128Mb of ram.

what's your CPU speed? My buffer always hung around 80-100MB, even with 512 MB of RAM, but I was working with a 600MHz CPU, pretty slow by today's standards. Anyway, it would take me up to 5 hours sometimes to encode a disc with quality enhancements. Shrink is a great tool, but it's pretty slow compared to some of the other proggys out there. When you compare encode times make sure you are comparing it to other encode times with Shrink.
