I just purchased this product and need to ask that when you copy a dvd do the menus work?? I cant get my menus to work after making a copy. The menu comes on the screen but it appears as a picture and not as a functional menu. My remote does nothing.
I used customize to eliminate the extras. Is this maybe why??
This is exactly why, if you had copied the entire disc the menu would have been functional, but since it was re-authored somewhat you lose the menus functions
I got to thinking about this some more and tried it again, and for me the menu worked. I clicked custom, checked menu, main movie, some extras but not all and the menu worked
I do that also. The menu does come on the screen but i cant select or do anything with it. I also checked "menu" as it was part of the selections to choose. So I checked menu plus all 4 episodes.
I can't even watch whats on the dvd because i dont get any further than the main menu. I'm locked at that point. Any button i push on my remote doesnt respond.
Im copying my 24 season 3 discs. I'll try another program disc to see if the problem is in the 24 disc. But im tired of throwing dvds away to test all this.
Another proggy that works well for editing w/ dvdcopy3 (and many other transcoders/encoders as well) is dvdremake although you will have to rip the disc to yor hdd prior to editing. I use it to remove previews, trailers, warning and logo screens, and extras I don't want leaving a functional menu, the movie, bloopers, deleted/extended scenes, and other extras if I choose. Encode w/ RB/CCE and burn w/ Nero.
