i ordered the 100 pack of dvd +r verbs from newegg with the rebate....still waiting on the rebate. ordered next 100 pk of verbs from amazon, and it took a long time to arrive, and they do a poor job of packing your order to prevent damage.
/hoping to get my newegg rebate within the next week or so
usually burn with laptop: dell, XP SP1, P4 2.66ghz, 384mb RAM, HL-DT-ST DVD +RW GCA-4040N burner
desktop: dell, Win 98, P3 800mhz, 512mb RAM, Lite-On 1673 burner, cheapo DVD-Rom drive

lol...I have just recieved notice about my newegg verb rebate from 'rebateshq' that 'my check will be mailed within 30 days'
6 weeks to process, and ghod knows how long to mail out...lol

oh well, at least i didn't forget to mail it in, which is what they are counting on with rebates.
the day after thanksgiving, fry's has a ton of stuff on sale. everyone has stuff on sale because they know it is the biggest shopping day of the year, but fry's has a lot of stuff that is basically free after rebate. last year i had about a dozen rebates to send in, took a whole morning to go make copies of everything and get them mailed out (did it the very next day so i wouldn't forget).
i'm planning to camp out around midnight or so this year. last year i missed out on a 27 inch tv for like $70, and we could use a new one. we did get a 3.2 megapixel digital camera for $47, which we needed. and tons of software free after rebate.
i've been watching for fry's to have a deal on the dvd software that comes with AnyDVD, which dvd software is that??? i guess i could search the forum....lazy

i myself use tdk and have not had a major problem with my lite-on 1633s burner. circuit city has 25 packs on sale alot for just about $8.

looks good tiburon~ :) that is fast shipping, i ordered from amazon awhile ago for the Verbs and i got horrible shipping with mine too, 2 of the casings were shattered, but the discs were still on the spindle rod...lucky for that~ :)
also, another point of mention if anyone is WILLING to try amazon again to save a few dollars and not deal with rebates...
BOTH the 8x Verb dvd-r and dvd+r are available at amazon.com now for $29.99 w/ free shipping.~ that's the BEST price i have seen with NO rebates to worry about yet~ this is for the 100 pk spindle btw.
i paid $35/100 pk when i ordered them not too long ago, but, it's $5 cheaper now w/ no rebates~ :) BUT anyone who does buy them at such a good price will have to worry about the poor packaging/shipping amazon uses to send their products out~ it's somewhat a gamble, but, they are the REAL DEAL and at a good price now...just my suggestion, the reason i bought from amazon is because i get charged sales tax in california from new egg..so, w/ free shipping and no tax from amazon, i got a BETTER price for these 100 Verbs as i would from newegg even AFTER the rebate~ :) just wish the shipping was better, other than that, i have no complaints~

darn, saw this and was ready to jump on it like white on rice but it's a "mail" in rebate. Ahh, I hate mail in rebates, something seems to always go wrong. Send in the bar code they say you didn't, fill out the rebate form, they said it wasn't, etc, etc. Nice deal though for those that don't mind chancing the mail in rebate. I just went ahead and bought some more trusty Riteks for $30 shipped, no rebates to worry about either.
