Hi

Does anybody know what the best mod chip for a playstation 2 v12 (the Slim edition) is? See I don't eally like to solder so maybe if anyone knows where i can get a good one or one that will work but for a smaller price then that would be great. By the way i live in Ontario, Canada.

Ps. I wouldn't mind taking my ps2 to some to do it for me.

Matrix Infinity and DMS4 Pro/Lite chips are top of the line.

I agree with PimpDawg.
Those are the 2 best chips out there.
They both have flash upgrades which is a great feature. Means whenever they want to give your chip new features you just have to download a small file and burn it to a CD and play it in the PS2.
They both can also play DVD9 (dual layer) back ups like God Of War or GT4 so you woun't have to try to shrink the games, just copy them to a dual layer disc.

hey guys

thanx for the info but i was also wondering if these chips destroy your playstation 2. i hear sometimes that certain mod chips destroy your ps2 or the lens, something like that. please answer cuz i REALLLLLLYYYY wanna play my burned games

you can do one of two things, get a premodded system at a site where all the chips come with laser fixes, like http://www.xmodd.com

or if you buy a chip also buy a laser fix, then no worries.
Summone laser fix is what i have in mine, came with the premodded system i bought at XModd
