Yeah, I ripped with Decrypter, re-author movie only in Shrink, burned with Nero. What's giving you trouble?

What error did you get? Try and be specific. It really helps us to figure out what is going on if we know more about your setup. Shrink has a variety of error messages and knowing which one you get and at what moment in the process it occured will help.

I never rip in ISO mode. Did you guys try ripping in file mode? I'm not sure it would make a difference but have you tried it?

I've gotten that error message at times when other programs were using up system resources. Make sure you have no other programs running that could be using up some RAM.

That error is one that Shrink displays when structure protection is encountered.

http://forums.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?threadid=46190

I don't know if that is the case here. Do you have problems with other movies? Try another.

Make sure you have the latest and last version of Decrypter, 3.5.4.0

Try ripping in the file mode as Ppower suggests.

You might try checking the "Remove IFO Structure Protection" box. Go to Tools > Settings > ISO Read Mode tab. Try this if ripping in the file mode does not work.

You could try a different ripper, DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.0.2 is supposed to handle new protections.
You can download it here at AfterDawn or http://www.dvdidle.com

I used it and it is about as easy as it gets.

But be warned a lot of people disagreed what I did but it worked for me and another person.

First rule of AfterDawn.com is you search before you post.

Common answer to ripping problems: Use DVD Decrypter first!

Followed Scuba Pete's guides.

Open disk in Shrink. Read movie. Re-Author and then Back-up. Automatically goes to Nero and burns. No problems here. Using Verb's Azo 8x -R.

Good luck.

Ok, I ripped with Decrypter as IFO, Re-Authored movie in Shrink, and now how do I burn in Nero? Which do I select to burn the movie with?? Burn dvd files, UDF/ISO burn? or which one in Nero?? and which files do I burn that came with the IFO after Shrink reshrunk it?? Thanks

FreeGamer,
The correct mode to use Decrypter in is either File or ISO, not IFO.
Setting Shrink to burn with Nero automatically:
Once the movie is ripped, open Shrink.
Select:
Edit -> Preferences -> File I/O check the "Enable burning with Nero" box.

Select OK

If the Decrypter file mode was used to rip the original, select the "Open Files" icon.

If the ISO read mode was used, select File -> Open Disc Image.

Once Shrink has analysed the movie, make your audio/subpicture selections or Reauthor.

When that is done, select Backup!

From the Backup Menu,-> Select Backup Target: Your Burner

Put your blank disc in the burner, select OK and you are done. Shrink will begin the encoding process and once that has completed Shrink will open Nero to complete the burn process.
