i tried to play my backups of splinter cell chaos theory and project snowblind and when i get to the point where i start i new game i get sent to a red screen that says"please insert a ps2 format disk" im still using swap magic 2.0(no modchip) could that be it.....i use the same media for all my backups and havent run into this problem........help please!!

You need a later addition of Swap Magic. Swap Magic 3.6 is the latest.

Thank you ill try that. is it just new games that dont work so well with the older swap magic disks, or is it completely random, because im playing my backups of killzone and metal gear solid 3 with swap 2.0 without problem

yeah, with 2.0 a lot of people had to use a program called DVDLoader with swap magic to get some games to load. Just get a newer version. I have both of those and they worked fine with my 3.3 version.

Yea I got Swap Magic 3.3 and never had problems with any game(only one time because of the media).

yeah i have the new version of swap on order. used the cd/dvd loader for now. it worked on my backup of god of war.......i was reading up on snowblind and splinter cell 3 and i guess i need a fix but when i went to ps2nfo.com to get the fix and register the site tells me that my email address is banned....ive never even got into ps2 backups till the other day(ive been all about the xbox backups) so i dont know what thats about but does anyone know where else i can try to get fixes for games.....any help would be appreciated....greatly
