i used dvdd first on private se party(3) xxx film and it gave me an error after 85% and then stopped.
i tried it again and was able to decrypt it.
but after i opened it with dvds it shows red in the compresion bar so i took movie only and still red.only thing besides movie is the only audio 2.0 check box. i unchecked it then ok but after the encoding and then dvdd opens up to burn movie it stoppped and gave me burn errors @ 22%. is this because it didn't decrypt it the right way first. should i try starting over from the start. or is this common for xxx dvd's. thx

hi
not sure on triple x movies but probably the same setup ...
ok, start over and rip in file mode in DvdD then load to dvd shrink, and set to auto compression in drop down box! (i think you may have it no compresion?)
Nothing here to see, move along folks.

hi
it doesnt like the disc or dirty or finger prints on it or scratched??
if it is clean you could try aggressive rip in DD or file mode rip or file mode main movie rip? also try useing dvd43 in background but its a long shot while you rip
or change the rip method cracking from brute forsce to something else or try ignore read error to get it?
Nothing here to see, move along folks.

this one has copy protection even came with a condom.hehe
i was able to decrypt it
i opened up dvds and then did it's thing but i have no audio.
and after it analysis. the mb shows 4714 and in red still only way to get rid of this is to take out the AC3 2-ch english.
then it goes green @ 4360mb
it is on automatic compression and besides the movie there isn't any subpictures or any thing special.
not sure what else to do. i even took just movie and still the same.
though i have one burned off good for the audio impaired i guess.

I burn xxx movies as well. They are usually not encrypted. The thing is, some of them are long as hell. I usually just remove frames from the end to get it to fit if it is still "in the red" after using Shrink...

have you tried ripping as an ISO to your hard drive with shrink, then re-ripping that ISO for a bit more compression?
it shouldnt make that much difference to the video quality. its not that much over the standard target size..

Hi there,

Your right, getting this error is usually a dirty or scratched DVD.
But if that DVD is a XXX Porno, I vote for: It's Dirty HAHAHA !!!

I find that if you get AnyDVD to take the encryption out of the disc youre trying to rip, shrink will be able to handle most DVDs you can throw at it.
I only use DVDD when the shrink/anydvd combination has a problem, & its normally only with new release DVDs.

Try this.....
Rip your dvd to your hard drive first.
opne in DVD Shrink and compress it to the max ...... again to your hard drive but a different folder ...... Leave all your adio files on this time. Since you are not burning to DVD yet it does not matter if it is still too big.
open the new copy that you just did in DVD Shrink again and burn it to your disk ..... it will now fit.
I won't comment about quality though it should be ok. I had the sam problem with Lord of The Rings - Return Of The King Special Eddition and that was how I was able to get around it without taking anything off the disk

That's good advice. I have a XXX film now that is 11.5 GB!!! I might need to put this one on a dual layer!!!

Well thats why you have no Audio! You are getting rid of it when you un-tick the AC3 2-ch english.
You are going to have to do what bassnut has suggested or split the movie onto 2 DVD's.
Cheers

i must agree with bbmayo:)
i get more ppl asking me to copy blues than anything else.(i've had to throw a bucket of water over my comp to cool it down before it sh****d itself to death before now) anyway, most are between 2 and 4 hrs long, so it's easier to reauther to 2 discs . there's always a few blank frames around the right place to start and finish from quite nicely.
these disc's have usually been around the block a few times so are
scratched ...dirty(no pun)...fingerprints. some are impossible to copy.
