verbatim datalifeplus which in +R format would be media code 'MCC003'.

What burner do you have ? , even though you should find these discs would be compatible with your drive

Hi Creaky,

You seem to be the man on this stuff.
I have a benQ 1620 and a phillip 16x dl writer on the same eide cable.
I can burn with the phillips just fine,but the benQ 1620 doesn't want to write faster than .08k,I have been to benQ europe as they don't have much support for the us of a.(no caps)
I have a dell 4700,1.5g of m ,160 hdd, 2 ex lacie 250g hhd.
I have tried to make benQ the master as well as the slave and tried cs as well...?

Any Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
Can post log if needed.

i'd do a search thru the dvd-r media forum as we discuss stuff like this very often, you'll find a few threads about it with verbatim in the subject of the threads. I'm in the UK so only glance at the names of non-UK shop names/websites

@rih

the media that you got, while based on your description, doesn't sound too good..i have yet to have any of my dvds burned change colors as you stated after a week after burning? could you explain a little more in detail as to what is actually happening?

secondly, if you are in the U.S...to find verbatim datalifeplus that creaky, my buddy, is suggesting, you will be HARD pressed to find them in YOUR stated price range of
Quote:
less than 30cents
with all the sales in the U.S. on verbatims, of which even I have jumped on, best price to be found is approx. $0.40/each ($20 for 50pk or $40 for 100 pack)...amazon.com DID have them for like 1 day for $29.99, but, that has since passed...i missed out on THAT awesome deal myself, but i bought them when they were at $34.99 Verbatim 8x dvd+r (MCC003 media code) and i believe they are STILL at that price NOW but on backorder, first come first served @ amazon.com~ :)

hope that helps, if you want them immediately, then best buy had a sale last week, which i know DOESN'T help you at all, sorry, but they have sales frequently on Verbatims~ just check around locally..but, consider the price range i gave you...if yo ucan get them for about $0.40/disc, you are good~ :)
