Hi, this might sound like a dumb question but I had a software for blocking copyright protection. It just worked in the background of whatever software you chose (in my case nero). It worked great but my computer got messed up and I had to restore it and lost the name of it, where I found it, and everything. The only thing that I can remember about it was that after I downloaded it, it displayed a little coffee cup in the right-hand bottom of my screen, near the clock, when it was enabled. Does anyone know what I am talking about from the little bit of info. that I remember about it?

Thanks for those, I will have to wait until I get home from work to see if that was it. The only thing is that those are free and the one that I downloaded was not. I had to pay for it. If I was a responsible adult I would have written that down huh!

Anydvd is not a free program. That may be the one you had if you paid for it. The cost is $39. USD if I'm not mistaken.

alcconway, If you did a Restore or even a complete recovery the program may still be in your Programs folder, you just have to re-install it.
For future reference, it never hurts to copy the progarms you loaded on to a DVD or CD in case of disaster.

Thanks everyone. I checked AnyDVD and that was not it. I tried to restore my computer to a certain point where it was saved. but it would only let me go back like 2 and a half months so that didn't help. I will put things on a cd/dvd from now on!

@akconway,

If it's a "white coffee cup" on the task bar bottom when it's enable, then it is definitely "DVDIdle Pro". Yep, that's it, I've used DVDIdle Pro for a year now and it has been doing such an outstanding performances cracking up protection codes regardless of the conditions of the dvd movies. Hope this help you out.

You are right that's it. Thank you so much! I had it for a few months right before my computer crashed. It works great, I would recommend it for anyone!

If I have another question. I should start a new thread right? It is about a different subject.

Alison
