I have a problem on burning an .iso file

I have both Nero and Alcohol 120%, but both have failed me.
On the alcohol 120%, it says ,"Image File loading aborted!
something is wrong with the recording procedure!
Please check the log file and report any errors to Tecnical Support."
On the Nero, it simply says it's failed.
I try two .iso filed, and both also failed.
I don't know what's wrong with it, but I run on a laptop with external hard drive (the iso file is there on the external HD) and external burner.
Please help me.

It may just be becaue both the burner and and hard drive are external. I do not know many people who back up games with a laptop so i can't be sure.
I just know that i use DVD Decrypter and have done many games with no problems. But Alcohol 120% is also a really good program, it just isn't free so i chose DVD Decrypter instead.

I tried to burn the mds & mdf files, and they work just fine.
I also burn the cue file, and they work just fine too.
The only thing that I can't burn is the .iso file.
I moved the file from the external HD into my local HD on my laptop, but it's still not working on the .iso

I'll try using DVDdecrypter.

ok thanks, it works now using DVD+R, but it won't work on the DVD-R.
