Well someone on X-Scene made a thread about this but no one answered. So I want to post on Afterdawn since people respond quicker.

but anyway my problem is that the first time I unlocked my HDD to move some files it was fine then I locked it, BTW I'm using xboxhdm. When I started my xbox again it played games by coldbooting, I didn't move dashboard over because I just needed to get a game running first. After that I hotswapped the HDD again and I unlocked it, then frogot what I planned on doing, so I re-locked it. Then I remembered so I tried to unlock it, but I think I typed in my password wrong because when it tried to unlock it, it said Security Locked. So I stopped there, I didn't try again because I may put it on Security Frozen, can anyone help Plz.

just for the future, you do not need to unlock the hd to move files around and such...it may need to be unlocked to mess with the eeprom and stuff, but for most things there is no need to unlock the hd...the main reason for locking is the eeprom, and booting the retail bios and dash.

Security locked: YES <----- this has never said YES ??? plz help

i understand what your problem is, i do not know how to fix that problem...you said that you have unlocked the drive before to move files around, right? i was just telling you that you don't have to unlock the drive to ftp and move shit around.
