OK, I am trying to backup a lot of DVDs, but I don't care about the fancy menus, xtras, or options. I have ripped a LOT of VOB files from various DVDs to my HDD (usually just 1 per DVD, unless it is a tv-series).

Is there a tool to make a mega-DVD containing 2 or 3 main movies from the VOBs that look DVD qwality. I figure I can fit 2 main movie files on a single-layer DVD.

Any help?

Hi Halpo,

You can do it either with Nero's Recode2 OR DVD Shrink.

Use Remake a DVD if using Recode2 OR Re-Author if using Shrink ~

Import 1 VOB at a time by Browsing for its location then importing it, allow for it to be analyzed then move it from the right side to the window's left-side THEN, Browse for the second, moving that from right to left. Continue for 3 DVD's and you should be fine. Next time, don't grab just one VOB file, rip with DVDD and then keep all the IFO, BUP and VOB files for quality copy. When you keep everything together, you'll then have an active menu when using Recode2.

As another option, try using DVD2One when you haven't "mucked up" things by grabbing just 1 VOB file. When starting out, you'll find it handy reading and following a guide instead of messing things up grabbing anything you can.

Try one of the guides in my sig.

kk, that works fine, one quick question. in DVD Shrink, is there an easy way to make a quick menu to select what I want to play, or can I make one in Recode with a reletive path to the DVD and import it?

tks, man. Works great. The individual VOBs barely loose any quality. I admit I don't know nuffin about the files on a DVD, but cuz I dont have to compress the VOB at all, the quality is great.

tks again
