Every time i try to make a back up with dvd shrink, with on one of my orginal DVD'z, this big problem comes along and stops me!
I insert a empty dvd dics into my dvd burner, i then open the directory where ive copied the dvd i want to burn. So far so good. Now i push ''back up'' button, i chose my settings for the dvd, name and so on. Then I begin to back up my dvd, as shrink always does it starts to analyse the dvd, then it will encode, and the burn. I only almost get the analyse test done before my laptop shuts down. I have installede aspi drivers, and direct x, codes, nero, all the importent things that shrink might need.

PLZ help with this problem....

Since it is a laptop it sounds like a heat problem, try using a fan to blow some air on it, or buy one of the cool pads that goes underneath :~)

Hey!
The only problem is that it only happens when I try to make a backup of a dvd. Not when i do home-work. And really use my laptop to the limit. It's a new laptop so it shouldn't be a problem! Do u think???

I would have to agree w/ arniebear. Try getting some more ventilation and air flow. There are very few applications that are more cpu demanding than video encoding.
