Putting avi files onto DVD seems to have stopped, i have put .avi files onto Ritek DVD-Rs before but it seems to have just stopped i develop the menu as usual and then set it to PAL setting as usual then i set it off but no luck it starts and then goes nowhere after about 2minutes but the elapsed time continues. This problem hasn't given any error so i couldn't really solve the problem. Note: i have tried it different files but it just stops in the same place.

If no one can give me a solution. Could they tell me a good Proggy for putting avis on dvd with a menu. Thanks in advance

NVE is not a very good encoder, so provided the original avis are good, try use DivxToDVD for the encoding, then burn with Nero.

divxtodvd is like the best encoder out there hardly any lost of quality and it's free plus quicker encoding most time means fcuk up graphic.

stop hoping, start loving.

@J-Kwon as far as a quicker program goes....divxtodvd encodes at real time or faster...I know of no program that does what this program does, any quicker.

It took about an hour using DIVXTODVD then a further 2 hours to burn using Nero express i used Nero express because i wanted to include a menu. I have TMPGEnc DVD author and CloneDVD2 and Nero reloaded so if anyone knows a quicker way to burn the dvd with a menu i would be very greatful. Thanks

After all that it doesn't work in my sony DAV-SR2 or my ps2 or my xbox or my other sony DVD player which is fairly new, I am using Ritek DVD-R. In my folder which i saved it to (VIDEO_TS) it has 7 different files.

VIDEO_TS 6 KB
VTS_01_0 70 KB
VTS_01_1 1,048,574 KB
VTS_01_2 1,048,574 KB
VTS_01_3 335,856 KB
VIDEO_TS.BUP 6 KB
VIDEO_01_0.BUP 70KB

I put all them onto Nero vision and then made a menu as i said i have different programs if they would work better.
