Lately I have been having problems with Ritek's quality control. I've noticed that there are more blemishes on the discs, problems with delamination occuring and with the dye breaking down too quickly. I've recently switched to Prodisc as I use a Pioneer duplicator and have not had any of these problems, nor does the machine reject the discs. I'm guessing this is because Prodisc is made specifically for Pioneer drives. My questions are:
Has anyone else noticed the drop in Ritek quality?
Is there a significant difference between Prodisc DVD-R discs with MCC coding vs ProdiscF01 coding? Supermediastore has the best price on these discs but they say they have no control over which dye formulation they receive. Any help or info would be appreciated.

MCC is considered one of the best dye's around (see Verbatim DVD+/-R, highly regarded here at aD) BUT i too have a pioneer writer (108) and it loves Prodisc dye. had really good results with DataWrite grey (prodisc F01) 8x.. saying that, i have an Emprex external writer that wont even recognise prodisc dye, so they can be a bit 'hit & miss' with certain drives..

At this time, I've had no problem with Ritek.

Been using Ritek Ridata for just about the last 2 years. Works great, no problems. +R and +RW both.
