Hi,

I finally got a r200 printer :-) I love it its nice. I just bought some Fuji Printables-(Prodisc)- They are ok (BTW- They don't like to be burned @ 8x, I had to slow it to 4x to get a sucessful burn).

Anyway I want to get some media with full hub pintable. The Fuji's are standard (Non-hub Printable).

I've looked on the site's that afterdawn recommended, they just seem kinda expensive. (Ok well I'm kinda cheap). I would love to get some TY's but they are a little out of my price range. Fuji, Verbatim and Sony have worked great in the past. Does Sony even make printables?

Any sugestions would be appricated. Thanks

Here's a couple places for quality hub printable media.

I bought my last verbatum dvd+r hub printables from meritline but I think you will find some better prices above.

One thing I might add is since you have a sony dvdrw you can booktype dvd+r media to dvd-rom and make them the most compatable format. Dvd-rom is most compatable followed by dvd-r then dvd+r.

I would be a little leary of shop4tech. They have been known to sell some sub-par media, fake TY's for example.

Hello all, does anybody have an Epson Printer (R200 or similar) That has the measurements for both Full Hub and Regular Printable DVD-R Media (Verbatim DVD+R Hub Printable) (Fuiji Dvd-r)I Believe the outside is 118" Inside ? Also Any suggestion on the print position. It seems like im just a little off. Default Settings are not centered.

If you are in a pinch for white full hub inkjet printables, Walmart has them for just under $16 a 25 pack. Look for the spindles that were made in Japan. My local walmart is taiwanese and japanese maxell full hubs, and the taiwanese may be cmags?

My full hub settings for Maxell-002-00 and Verbatim Mcc-003:

Inner- 20
Outer-119

That'll get you very close.

Regular hub shiny inkjet printables:

Inner-43
Outer-119

print position: When you pull that template out of your printer, look at which direction that label needs to go. It may have to go up/down/right/left or a combo of right/up,etc.

If label is too far right-: Click the green disc icon-slide the box to move to left .1 at a time. Do the same for the vertical. Mine is .3 to the left/and 0 to the top.Click OK.It'll stay that way until you have to change again.

You got a dollar general store nearby? They had full hub imations cds for $6-$8 a 30 pack. These were great to practice with, and same full hub settings as my verbs and hitachi maxells.

I got 100 of the Ty-g02 shiny inkjet printables and they look fantastic. I am very impressed with them.I just wish I could find full hub shiny inkjet prinatables.

A while back, I've seen several posts from canadians reporting cmags up there on their taiwanese maxells in the dash format. The same with the full hub printables.

Those taiwanese maxell +8x full hub inkjet printables sounded fishy. I saw them at Walmart last month and skipped over them and found the japanese hitach Maxell-003-00. I figure they are either Cmags or prodisc? I may have to pick up a spindle to find out. They do have a no questions asked return policy.

@saugmon

i am not trying to call movies27 out, i was just trying to find out WHERE these CMC MAG Maxells have been appearing, is he from Canada? or am i correct in my assumption that since Canadian buyers have reported CMC MAGs under the MIT Maxell's that movies27 just steers clear of them here in the States?

either way, i can see why it would be a cause of concern, just wondering whereabouts, if ANYWHERE here in the States, that this has been occurring/reported~ :)

i believe that CMC MAGs under the Maxell name is true, in CANADA, as you mentioned earlier, but just wanted to confirm whether it is a FACT here in the U.S. as well, and if so, where?

also, with all this talk about MID coding and such, i believe you meant you got the Hitachi made MAXELL002 in the MIJ 8x DVD+R, not Maxell003 (perhaps you were thinking about the MCC003 under the Verbatim 8x dvd+r)? reason i'm pointing this out is if you DID in fact get the MAXELL003, i'd like to know WHERE...again, as that would be the 16x MIJ DVD+R Maxells that aren't available here in CA from what i've seen so far...

i'm not here to "correct" anyone, just wanted to get MY OWN facts straight as to what other people can get their hands on around the country...if it was a simply MID mistake, stating MAXELL003 instead of MAXELL002, then i got my hopes up for a media that i have been looking forward to trying for quite some time now~ :) as of right now, here in CA, i haven't been able to find ANY MIJ Maxell 16x rated media yet...
