Just got an xbox off my buddy and there is no power at all, I replaced the fuse and still nothing, the power supply gets warm after bein plugged in so there is power goin through it, just nothin turns on...Its a 1.0, and when i got it i noticed it had been opened before,....any help appreciated, thanks!!!
Maybe the power supply is done for. Even if it's broken, it could still get hot. Do you or a friend have a 1.0 xbox power supply with which you could check to see if this is the problem? Otherwise there could be something wrong with the motherboard. I know if a capacitor comes off, or basically anything else for that matter, the xbox won't start.
Is there anyway to test the power supply to see if its the problem, other then putting another working one in?, because i'm not sure if I know anyone with a compatable one....
I am sure you can test it, but I have never had to do it before. I'm sure there are some Xbox gurus on http://www.xbox-scene.com forums that can help you out w/ testing the power supply.
