does anyone know a program where i can convert my whole iso file - straight to an avi or mpeg?

hey rotary, thanks for getting back

its a documentary type film - i want to convert it - and then edit it - grab a certain part and burn it.

ok, so its a ripped dvd original then. thats kool...

ok, open in DVD Shrink if its the end or start you need it can cut the opposite end off, i cnat remember of hand with shrink if you can just cut out the middle? if thats what you need?

but for this stuff i use TMPGEnc dvd auther but its not free...

yah i want to just convert the whole thing - cut off like tha last half hour or so...

is this easy to do with shrink - someone refered me iso buster - but i couldnt get the thing working - it had different folders for the audio and video - i just want to convert the whole thing to AVI or mpeg

not sure how to get an AVI from a dvd?

but if you get a dvd place it in DVD Shrink then use crop feature

its easy!

in re-author mode this will loose menus/extras and just drag across the main movie title...

ah, i dont have the dvd anymore though. its just a file - would i still be able to open it - and snipe some stuff

eh, it encountered an error. invalid dvd navigation or something.

its probably the iso

hi again...........i normally use nti for burning ISO files, but i am finding it crashes my pc. i really dont want to have to use it again but dont know what else to use instead...........can anyone suggest something please? thanks

hi

dvd decrypter burns iso files!

and another free app is filder2iso to make the files to iso for burning!

but note! - you need a VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folder inside another folder called whatever then lead folder2iso to the whatever folder then it will make an iso of both the VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS and of course have the vob/ifo/bup files inside the VIDEO_TS folder aswell first.
