OMG that is the dumbest thing i ever saw i would never do that to my ps2 please man don't do that. Hey kuqdew just go here www.clearxbox.com order you a fliptop with swap magic 3.6 it's about $36 bucks or you can get a slide card with swap magic 3.6 for $24 it's all up to you but that thread you just showed delete that man. if your going to open your ps2 then put a fliptop on it it's much better and safe

i agree, that is one of the stupidest methods i have ever seen.
How can you play a game when you are holding that white piece on your disc? get a flip top.
I don't really advise trying it, but if you want to convert your PS2 for free i can get you a link on making a slide card, and making your original PS2 cover into a flip top cover.

Id like the link plz steimy.

I wanna know how I can make my own Flip Top cover, I tried to do the slide card...but I dont know how to do it properly, it messes up my drive :/ and then i have to kinda forcefully pull it out completely in order to work, else it jams up :S

Also, for flip top...can I just use my Gameshark 2 disc and use it to boot dvd-r ps2 games and such?

thnx
