DVD Decrypter Question

Copying a DVD movie that is CSS protected. The Decrypter copied the files to my Temp folder. However, the illistration shows there should be two files ISO and DVD. I am supposed to choose the one that states DVD. It downloaded in two files all right but one is ISO and the other is MDS. How do I get it to copy as DVD?
I will be using DVDXPlatinum to copy and compress the files to the DVD.
Appreciate if anyone can help me. My e-mail address is ejearney@earthlink.net Please but DVD Decrypter in the subject file so I can be sure to get it out of the spam mail.

that guide is a bit outdated...you want to burn the mds file :)

The DVDXPlatinum is not finding the file when I browse for the movie file so I can copy it and compress it to the DVD. Can you tell me What to do?

I dont use that program.
You could open the iso in DVD Shrink.

Hi Again!
I just downloaded the DVD Shrink. Thank you so much for helping me. Now, once I shrink the movie, can I copy this to a blank DVD using Roxio?

Yes Roxio should work,Roxio is frowned on in alot of these forums, because it causes conflicts with about every program.
So I cant tell you what to use with roxio.
You could make the output from shrink create and iso, and then autoburn with DVD Decrypter, if you cant get roxio figured out.

Another newbie. I'm also having the problem with burning to dvd. The folder ends in MDS. but nothing comes up to burn to dvd. what I'm I doing wrong?

What program are you using to burn? You can download DVD Decrypter if it 's still available and burn the .mds file. Are there any other files with the .mds?

Ahh, just checked, you can download it right here at aD. Just click on the DVD Decrypter.

I'm unfamiliar with that program. Just download DVD Decrypter, go to MODE, ISO, WRITE. Browse to the .mds and burn. The mds is a file leading to the ISO. Or you can just burn the ISO with DVD Express if that option is available.

I thank everyone for thier help. I went to dvd x and clicked browse and was able to burn the dvd. I also managed to use shrink to burn another dvd.

Hi!
I tried to copy the DVD using DVD Shrink. When it completed, it states that it was successful. However, when I tried putting it in the DVD player (the player accepts both DVD-R and DVD+RW) it just keeps going on loading. I used the DVD-R. What did I do wrong?

I have the decrypter but have never used it. What is the correct setting to use to decrypt a dvd.(I know it works, just don't know the correct setting) Exp. Iso Read, Iso right. Whatever.

Damn newbie heaven here tonight huh.
EJEarney ,first off edit your FIRST post ,dont put your email addy in your post its just not a good idea and you might end up getting spammed by someone
why its not playing in your dvd player;could be the blank media you are using ,stick with the good stuff as in Taiyo Yuden , Verbatium or Ritek no memerox please its just not very good media. see if it plays in your PC or another DVD player and also set your burn speed at 4X to see if that helps.
