Does that mean none of the discs will work ? No, it means that you can regularly expect errors when using certain discs. The causes vary from media with an uneven dye app. to dye flaking or even missing from the disc's edges. The use of an "Unknown" dye usually means the cheapest available dye from batch to batch. "How about the disc itself ??" you might ask. You would be correct that not all discs are equal. Pick up a Taiyo Yuden in one hand and a "Great AZO" or Memorex in the other and you'll never ask again.
We base our recommendations upon experience. What pple use time after time without a problem. From experience, we have deduced that certain companies do a very good job in the quality control aspect of their disc production.
As I'm so fond of saying, We put this information out to enlighten you, do with it what you will. We don't really care if you wish to throw your money away by gambling it on crappy media, after all, it is your money.

By using a decent quality media, I can guarantee you one thing to an absolute certainty; it surely cannot hurt.
