Hi all,

I am new to this forum, but have been burning awhile. I use decrypter and shrink and after long months of playing around finally got it figured out,but I downloaded them to another computer and all went well until it was time for decrypter to actually burn the movie, and a box popped up and said do you want to format disk? I have never seen this before, can someone please help? I pushed yes just to see but not much of nothing happened? I am using Maxell DVD+R

If DVD+Rs are what you're using, then they are already formatted. As a matter of fact, the only things that you can do are to write data onto the disks once, and to read them (as many times as you like). In other words, if you put in a DVD+R and Decrypter offers to format it, then there's been an error. You may want to read the guide again to see if you have got the settings right.

Perhaps the DVD media is damaged and program throw out this message. I've seen this few times and usually it was bad disk problem.

Marcus23 is also right about media which is the most common cause for burning programs. Media working on one PC may not be compatible on another. So you may want to use RWs for tests to avoid making coasters. BTW, you may also just run Decrypter with a blank DVD inserted. If Decrypter can identify the disc (info. would show on right window), then it would give you some confidence about the media you're using.
Good luck!
