Hey Guys,

I have been skulking around this site for at least a year and you guys have been more than helpful! Finally decided to join the fun! Here is my issue.

I am using Premiere Pro 1.5 w/ XP. What I am doing is taking my .Tivo files...converting them to MPEG2s and now I want to edit out the commercials and transfer them to DVD. From what I have read editing MPEG2s isn't the way to go. Better if I go AVIs...is that right? Also, when I open up the MPEG2 file in the Source Window it plays fine. Soon as I move it to the timeline, play in the program window, or export it I get nothing but black screen and audio. Can you guys help me? Any advice would be appreciated.
