i have a 2 Gig RAM, 2992 MHZ processor speed, 160 gig hd... right now it takes me about 35 to 50 mins to copy dvds. is this normal or can i burn faster? does burn speed vary by movies being copied or depends on program used? i have clonedvd2/anydvd and dvd x copy plat.

Most burn movies a 4x to reduce the chance of errors. I burn at 8x, it works for me. I think burn speed has to do with computer specs, the burner, and the media, not so much the movie. If the 35-50 minutes is including ripping, compressing, and burning thats good.
What have you been burning at?

thanks Ppower... seems im ok then.
yeah youre right the 35 to 50 min includes the whole enchilada of ripping dvds. now im just backing up the pacifier. cool then i was just curious if theres a way to make my copying a lot faster. my burner i think is capable of burning upto 16x i dont know if thats read/write speed but thanks
