AVI files to DVD (with a clear picture) Please help.

i have several AVI files on my computer and i'm trying to convert them to DVD and be able to watch them on television. I am using Nero Vision Express for this process. In the end result the picture isn't very clear and it is in widescreen format. If anyone can help me with this issue,... please do.

Nero Vision Express's output always seems to be of poor quality. The source could be poor but I bet you would get better results with a high quality encoder. I use CCE Basic/SP and MainConcept H264. I have TMPGEnc as well but it's too damn slow
