Adobe Premiere (LE) Stills/Transitions problem

I am working with still photos (psd) in a montage in Adobe Premiere LE and ran in to this problem that I have not run into before. When I bring several photos down to the time line (Video 1A and Video 1B)and separate them with a transition, one photo will be rendered completely "black" while the rest of the photos are ok. If you put them on the same timeline or put no transition in they will show up fine.
I went to another saved project that did not have this problem and found only these differences. When a still photo is selected in the project window in my "good project" the file information includes 29.97 fps next to the duration and no file size. The still photo files I am having problems with do not have 29.97 fps listed next to the duration and the file size is listed.
Most photos were scanned in throught PhotoShop Elements as psd files and imported. Other photos were already stored as JPEG files and then converted to psd files and imported. Thanks Jim
