XBox wont play copies

I recently got a DVD burner LiteOn model SOHW-1673s06c, I used verbatum media. The copy works in my stand alone DVD player but the XBox isnt recognizing it.Now am I correct in assuming that is becuase my XBox is non modded and this is a copy? The only thing is the XBox will read CDR's. To make the Copy I used DVD Shrink and Nero. The movie is I,Robot. I would have put this in the XBox forum but I am a newbie and this was my first time making a backup. This isnt a huge deal to me but I am just curious.
