I don't think that would work, cause whenever i want to play lan games with my brother i need to use a router between my 2 ps2's to forward the data from one console to the other and back.

@DG, have you ever tried it with just a regular switch/hub? would it specifically need to find/generate IP address for the 2 machines? i have 2 PS2s and was considering networking them to see how a LAN game would work.

@ superxl: i just plug both ps2's into the router (i guess you could probably use a hub as wel) and direct the traffic to and from the consoles through there, and it works just fine ( i bet some of the more experienced users here could give you detailed schematics of how to do it, i usually just let my brother do the most of the work, since i'm a lazy bastard. i don't think it generates ip adresses for both machines though..)

Online is different from lan, so check if the thps title you want to use has it, otherwise, try socom 1 or 2

Post back once you get it installed, i'm curious too see if it will work, and make sure that modem has a built in router if you want to be able to use it for lan play

@ihabingy: dont waste time with a modem. get a ROUTER. muuuuuch better. you can share your conection with up to 4 machines and it only looks like one connection.

@DG: ihave TH4, and burnout3, but no socom. i'm going to go and find a tutorial to see if this is even possible.
