RAZR phonetools help much appreciated!

alright well this story is a weird one. I got this RAZR phone a few days ago and I gotta say is it truly sweet. the reception owns, the camera is choice, and the whole thing is pretty cool. I connected to my comp the day I got it with phone tools, you know read the instructions, didnt plug it in till it asked, blah blah. so it connected and I liked sending and recieving files and such. SO the next day it just won't connect! there's an icon of a phone with a "NO" sign through it (you know the type) and geez! what's up! so I went to this forum and I saw like you know, reinstall it, so I did... SEVERAL times. I went to the setup menu & I enabled send and recieve, whatever, went to the modem setup. now heres the deal, it says "modem is inaccessible or in use by another program"well what the heck, cause I then proceeded to disconnect the internet and close every other application in windows that was running. STILL nothing. so cause of my limited knowledge of basic computing I can distinguish that the problem probably has something to do with it not recognizing the modem - what do I do? note before replying that I have reinstalled and rebooted several times. any leads you all could offer would be VERY appreciated! thank you too much, peaaace -leon

Leon, go to control panel , modem delete it . Then start mpt go thru setup as before. wait till it ask for the phone to plug it in . that should be it.

tonyrep, I tried it but for some reason it just will not recognize my phone! arrgh any other ideas?
