MPG To MPG2 Convertor?

I have a MPG that needs to be Converted to MPG2 does anyone know a good convertor? Thanks

hi

you can cheat and make the headers into mpeg2

use dvd patcher and only do the first header in each mpeg!!!

then just author them to vobs / burn!

no encoding!

hi

just open the mpeg in dvd patcher then tick what you want ie: NTSC or PAL format...

also kep the bitrate at 8000

and only patch the first header in the file not all the mpeg

I heard that authoring them to VOB's makes poor picture quality? Also how do I go about making them into VOB'S

hi

to make the mpeg to mpeg2 dvd complaint properly i use mainconcept or divxtodvd <--- (mpeg to vobs), latter being easier and a free app!

now doing the above is a loss of quailty, but dd patcher dosent take an hour to encode! it keeps the mpeg as is but makes apps think its mpeg2, i use TMPGEnc dvd author to author the mpeg/mpeg2 now to vobs

so thats 2 ways to get vobs, then i burn with Nero on add-video tab!
