I was wondering if there is a way to copy my .avi movies the way they were without converting them to the DVD format.

I tried using ulead DVD movie factory so i can have a nice interface when choosing my movies, but 4 25min movies would take all of the 4.7GB space.

i would like to know how to make a nice little interface without converting the movies to DVD format.

I mean with the DivX certified DVD's, i can play .avi or .DivX movies as they are. So instead of 4 20min movies taking all the space, i can use 28 20min movies instead.

Is there a guide i can use to do this, or if can even do this with my ulead DVD movie factory. If i could, that would be great.
Thanks anyways.

If you want to Burn DivX Files to DVD and play them in a DivX certified DVD Player then you do not use a DVD authoring Program because DiVX doesn"t support Menu"s and Chapters Like Real DVD"s do...

The way you Burn divX files to DVD is as a Data DVD so you would burn them to DVD the same way you would burn any Data to DVD....

Because DivX doesn"t support Menu"s and Chapters you will not be able to have any Scene selections or have a menu were you can select which File you want to play like with Regular DVD"s..This is a Limitation of the DivX/Mpeg-4 format....

Cheers

Hold on a sec...what about the "advanced interactive features" which is included in the new DivX create bundle. Doesn't that mean that i can add interactive stuff to my .DivX video eXtensions?

In their site, this is what it mentions about their "DivX Media Format:" "support for advanced features like interactive video menus, chapter points, multiple subtitles and alternate audio tracks"

Well...i guess DivX does support menus and chapters after all, hu?

That is DivX 6 and the Set Top Box you have unless it was made in the last 2 weeks doesn"t have support for the Interactive Features in DivX 6....(It might not even Play Back DivX 6 Files becuase it doesn"t have the new DivX 6 decoder )

These Features will only be Supported in the New DivX Certified Set top Players...At this Time I believe the Only thing that will support the DivX 6 features is the new DiVx Player that comes with DivX 6 and the only software that will author these Disks is the New "DivX 6 Pro Create Bundle".....

So in short, YES, i will be able to have all 28 movies with interactive features if the DVD player supports the new DivX 6 Decoder

And in another short, YES, we will expect a guide on how to make those interactive menus in the near future at this website. Hopefully.
