DMS4 Stopped reading +RW's

I bought my DMS4 pro and my +RW's worked like a charm (for at least 6 months). I then saw that I could update my BIOS and thought I would like the new features. I upgraded to ToxicOS 0.3 and ever since can not play the exact same +RW's. It just loads to the PS2 "Browser, System Config" screen, +RW doesn't spin and just acts like there is no disc in the drive.

Can someone please tell me how to get my +RW's playable again?

try searching around the DMS Forums, you may find your answer there or someone more suited to answer questions about DMS4 chips, since they all have them.
I have the DMS4 Pro too (but did not upgrade from 2.0 because i am waiting on the next update instead) but i never use RW discs. Just -R for games and +R for movies. Both work every time.
+RW is a waste of money unless you actually copy over your old games, which i never do.

Thanks steimy, but I have been a frequent-unsatisfied visitor to the DMS boards, and knew that this was the only other place I was sure people could help.

All I have is my RW discs. I am so poor I can't afford any regular DVD's right now. And desperately seeking an answer to why they would work for a long while and then stop once I upgrade my bios.

Does anyone use RWs with DMS4 pro, and if so what is your bios?

you can always redownload V0.2 and reflash back to what you had.

unfortunately I have tried every available Toxic Bios and OS, with the same result. The DVD+RW and CDrw's will not even spin. Is this indicative of a hardware problem to which someone can guide me to a helpfull place?
