What media did you use? Was it +/-r/rw? Does you player support both -/+ formats?

my player supports any other dvd copies that other people have done but not the ones that i am trying to copy. i just used a data dvd copy on my computer and draged the video and audio folders onto the dvd, should i have gone to the dvd movie copy instead of data? the dvds are just writable not rewritable.

Yes do the dvd movie option instead. What software are you using?

Any problems post back. Also you will only need to copy the video_ts folder. This has everything you need.

I have had a similar problem and seem to have solved it by simply writing at a slower speed and a bit more compression....

I have used virtually every program out there as well as many different kinds of media. For my player, as well as many others of my friends, I can record a 8x with no problems, if I also watch carefully that I select enough compression so the burning does not get too close to the outer edge.
When I do burn at 2x and watch the compression, every other player that would not work before, now plays it very well.

I always copy only the main movie along with whatever subtitles and audio are necessary.

Also interesting, is that on those discs that were too full, when I copied the files back to a folder on my HDD and did a re-shrink and re-burned them at 2x, I got excellent results.
