if ive got a dual layer writer do i need to use shrink to make it fit, or can i just buy a writable dual layer disc and copy it straight over onto the writable dvd? and not worry about shrinking it?

You only need Shrink if you are trying to compress to a single layer disk. If you want to make a 1.1 copy of a movie that is longer than 4.3g you would need a dual layer disk. However, you would not use Shrink, but DVD Decrypter in iso read and then write mode.
