so i recently downloaded Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 (JAP). I have the game for gamecube, but i just want to play it on the computer so i can use the emulators code devices. i didn't know how to upload my gamecube game disc onto the computer so i just searched it up and downloaded it. the files that i got came in a folder looking like this:

total of 19 files.

then i downloaded Dolphin, which is a Gamecube Emulator. so now how am i supposed to load 19 files into the emulator? that confuses me. for every other emulator i just need to load in one rom (file). but this one gives me 19 so now i need help.

You have to use WinRAR to join those files to one. Then there's one ROM file.

i know, i did that but all the files inside of the RAR's have the same name, and all but the last one are the same file size. even so how do i join the files into one after all are extracted.

All you have to do is, open by doubleclicking normally ONE of those .rar files to open it, then press "Extract to", then select a path where you want to .GCM image come, then press "OK" and wait till loading bars are filled. Then you have one ubd-ngnt3.gcm file.

okay i did that, now when i boot the GCM, it says "booting..." then after all i get is a green lined screen. but the resolution does change. so does that mean that i need a better graphics card?

maybe, its more likley that the emulator cant run it, this happened to me when i downloaded wind waker but most of the other games i got worked fine, if you go on http://www.dolphin-emu.com/gameslist.php and theres a list of compatible games ^_^ (sorry people i got it wrong, final fantasy chrystal chronicles didnt work, wind waker worked fine)

OK, I am having the same problem, with the same exact game. First off, the game is fully compatible with the Dolphin Emulator. Secondly, each compacted .ram file contains 1 .gcm file each. The problem is that every .gcm file (save one) is named the exact same way. I am able to extract one easily, but when I try to extract the second .gcm to the same folder, it says that the file already exists (seeing as it has the same name). When I try extracting all .rams at the same time, it stops after the first one because of the same reason. Is there some trick to this?

And sappro I don't believe it is the video card, because I am havin the same problems and I am on a nVidia GeForce 6800 GTO, and if you need something better than that to run the .gcm, then the person who originally uploaded the files must have a god for a computer.

anime7688,(if you have the same version i do) I have done some research and this is how you get the one gcm file. notice that the last WinRAR file is the only one with the extension ".rar" thats the one you need to extract. the way i see it, all the other files are just little fragments of the final gcm file. therefore all the numbers. (".r00-.r15") when you extract the gcm from "ubd-ngnt3.rar" it takes data from ".r00-.r15" then puts it together, resulting in "ubd-ngnt3.gcm" and it should be like 900 somethin MB.

now this is the part i'm at. i can load it into Dolphins game list, and it has the banner and the author and everyhting. but when i run/boot the game, it just changes the resolution of Dolphin, and the screen turns black (these are signs that the gcm does work, maybe not, but these are good signs.) now i'm pretty sure that everything i said was correct. correct me if im not correct. haha, and i know that my video card is some shit that came with the computer i bought. (never buy computers) so i'm building my own now which doesn't have a "great" video card but i know any video card that you buy is better than the ones a computer comes with when you buy it. so now i have to wait till i finish building mine.

until then anime7688, i count on you to tell me your results, good or bad, after you follow the steps i told you in my enormously long first paragraph since you have the enormously great video card.

sorry if this was crucially long, but yeaaaaa... okay tell me the results thanks!!! =]

Before you trying to emulate GC games and finally get great disappointment, i say:
It's not worth it. fps is less that 10, even with 3GHz CPU+1GB RAM+Radeon 9800PRO
and 10FPS is pain.

The future is not set. Theres no fate but that which we make for ourselves.
