Is 60.5 % compression rate the best I can get?

Hi,
I successfully ripped Star Wars: Attack of the Clones to my hard drive using DVD Shrink. I chose to delete as much as I could before beginning the compression...Spanish, French, and other unnecssary stuff. I was able to get about 60.5 % compression on the main movie, but I probably could've gotten higher had I left off all the menus (Star Wars dvds are loaded with all kinds of menus). My question is...on a solid 2hr 15min movie like AOTC, what is the best rate of compression I can expect if I leave off everything except the main movie? Also, I chose to burn a gag reel of sorts on the disc and it looked much worse and pixilated than the main movie. Is this because Shrink has to balance the qaulity? Thanks!

Every movie will vary, but in my opinion 60% is to much for any movie with DVD Shrink. Try just the main movie and see what you can get.. If it is still under say 75% I would recommend you just split the movie up and use two DVD disk's. It may be a little trouble with changing the disk's but you will preserve the quality and have a perfect copy for still less than 1$ :-)

Good to see you back bbmayo. We all missed you. Mayo is right. I copied my version of "clones" and when i did just the movie I was in the 90%'s or so. I just did the main movie and 5.1 track. That is it.

I did cut empire strikes back in 2. Godfather as well.

Yeah I just checked my SWAOTC and it was at 95% (Just the main movie) so you should be good to go with just the main movie :-)
