swapmagic 3.6 problem

first things first ; im a noob. just got a new slim ps2 the other day.
Got a game too .. now wanna back it upn(need for speed underground).
DVDDecrypt -> iso
DVDDecrypt -> burn

fine

* swapmagic in, not closing lid ..
* it spins and loads the swapmagic menu ..
* swapmagic cd/dvd stop spinning ..
* i put in my newly created backup and hit load program ..
* dvd begins to spin (its a rw), but now fast, instead it makes these little noises every 1 seconds ..
* get the message "Not a valid ps disc"
- at this point i figure i foo'd the backup procedure somehow(like the dvd being rw), so for diagnostics
* i put in the original game
* press load program again
* same shit happens

Bottom line, if i even cant load the original game with swapmagic, im doing something very wrong.

Ideas ?

why are leaving the lid open? is this a new mod i dont know of, i dont have the new ps2 you see

how it works is your meant to have swap magic with another mod, like a fliptop or slidecard or magic switch... have you got one of these

the basic theory is your tricking the ps2 into thinking the disc hasnt been changed for a copy

and some ps2s dont like dvd +rw but theres been alot of people on here recently saying they work on theres

i get the idea behind this ..

and my ps2 is supposed to be modded from the shop..

wich i assumed it was since it would actually start the cd without the lid being closed ....

Whats puzzling me is "why dont the original work" ??

there was TWO swapmagic cd's ... heh.. one cd and one dvd .. guess wich on ei was using...

i glanced over them yesterday, couldnt find a difference, and thought ; the scond one is a backup... lol
