I'm new at this whole DVD burning ordeal. I've looked up many many things hoping to get some help but I haven't found anything. So far i've downloaded DVDshrink, Nero and a bunch of other programs but I don't get it. I used DVD Decrypter and got the movie onto my pc. It's cut up into parts saved as a VOB file waiting for me to pass onto a disc. I don't know what to do now, do I convert them into an avi files? how to I merge all the parts together? what programs should I use in order to get it on a disc? if anybody could help it'd be very much appreciated.

All you really need to download plain and simple is DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter / Nero (I use Decrypter, but either is fine.)

First put the dvd into the drive (the one that's not burning) and open up Shrink. You should see a button saying Open Disc (you can't miss it.) Click it and open the disc onto Shrink. You will see how the movie is broken down, but most importantly, at the top you will see a green bar. If the bar is red at the end, that means the movie is too long to fit, so best bet would be to go to the monu on the right below it and declick a foreign language that you know you will never need, except spanish, that makes any movie funnier.

Click the 'Burn' button (looks like a scroll) and accept the message about regions if it comes up. Either click DVD Decrypter or Nero for whichever your using, then burn away my friend. Shrink will turn the movie into an image file (may like 30 mins or so) then your burning software will kick in automatically and start burning, so as long as your blank disc is sitting in your burner waiting, you can leave it and come back for your finished product.
