I have some one-hour .avi files (~350 Mb), have converted them using DivXtoDVD, and they are now around 1Gb. How much can I shrink them without sarficing quality too much?

I personally think that u dont need to shrink them any further caue its only 1G. u can try burning straight.

otherwise u can try decrypting it and then use shrink to shrink it and then burn it back to disc.

remember u have atleast 4 gigs of room on a standerd dvd disk
i would just leave it as is

unless u are trying 2 burn it 2 a 700mb cd

then in that case i would use ifo edit 2 create ifo a bup files
so shrink can read it the use custom compression to reduce it 2 a size that will fit on your 700 mb cd..

just to clarify things, most AVIs aren't that great of quality to begin with, so you will probably notice even the slightest bit of compression here.
