If you want to play your games(backups) online, you may want to get Swap Magic boot discs, bacause someone told me that when you connect to a website to play a game online, the website checks for any cheat devices like a modchip, and they will kick you out. I been playing all my backups online with Swap Magic 3.3 and they never kick me out.

Also you have to patch the ISO with the DNAS you get from your Original game. If you dont know how just let me know and ill tell you how.

Cheers.

Also if you prefer fast booting and play your DVD9 backups like GOD OF WAR and GT4, you can get a modchip, the best ones out there are DMS modchips, or matrix infinity. Good Luck,

Nope it dont make any difference. You can still buy Swap Magic the same as your ps2. For example: if you have PAL PS2, you defenetly need PAL Swap Magic PAL. Same as NTSC.

Ok, To patch a game you need the following programs:

1.DVD Decrypter[duh]
2.Disc ID Inserter
3.Disc ID Puller
4.Additional: Some good media(because when it comes to playing online, one little problem the ps2 reading your disc, the game freezes and you have to reset and start over again)(ahh man)
First you need to get the DNAS numbers off your original game.

Getting the DNAS ID off the original game.
Step 1. Burn Disc ID Puller to a CD-R, and boot it with Swap Magic CD version, now when it loads just put in your ps2 original and It should give you some codes. I have never done this, but I have heard people saying they did it this way. So if I missed something feel free to post. I added a link that helps you with this step.

Puting the ISO of your game in PCs HD.
Step 2. Run DVD Decrypter, Select MODE>ISO>READ on top. Insert your GAME(original) and then click the big Decrypt button. Now it will take at least 15 minutes to Decrypt the ISO to your PCs HD.

Patching the ISO in your HD with the DNAS ID.
Step 3. Open Disc ID Inserter and click "select image file" then choose your ISO that you made with DVD Decrypter. Now click "Scan File" Then Click "verify version" And the little squares where it says Disk ID: should now be white(from grey). Now put in the DNAS ID numbers. And then click "patch" and it will patch the ISO.

Burning the ISO to a blank DVD.
Step 4. Open DVD Decrypter and Click on MODE>ISO>WRITE on top. Insert your MEDIA and it should tell you the supported writing speeds. Burn at 2x and everything should work fine. Now click the big Decrypt button. Now seat back and let it finish, and take your backup to your PS2, use Swap Magic to boot it, and go online if it passes the DNAS Logo, you successful.
