whatever program you use, do NOT do a movie only option. It will look at one episode instead of all episodes. If you use Shrink, check deep analysis and high error compensation. Episodic DVDs are cable tv quality to begin with and usually require a high amount of compression.

With the 100 hours in Shrink, is this trying to rip from the disc, or are these files already on your hard drive? If you're ripping from the disc and getting this time, your drive may be in PIO mode instead of DMA. Check bbmayo's guide (link in my sig) for DMA issues.

I use Decrypter, Shrink and then Nero to burn. Takes 40 minutes with a 2.8 processor and 4x burning.

SOrry, i misposted. I usaully just put the dvd in, open DVD Shrink 3.2, press "open disk" make sure that "full disk" is pressed down, and then compress the extras a little more making the actual movie (episodes) less compressed and almost perfect quality, when backing up, shrink will ask you how to burn, u can Nero (fastest, best working) or use decrypter to write the iso image (little slower, but still good) or any software of your choice (copytodvd, etc.). As i said before, this takes about 40 minutes on my 2.8 proccessor and 4x burning speed with Nero.

Just remember to have your movie ripped to the hard drive already with DVD Decrypter :-)

the movie's already on the hard drive and it takes 100+ hours to shrink huh? Well this can't be a DMA issue then, since you're not involving any optical drives at this point. If you let it go, how long does it really take? What is your CPU speed also?

do a defrag, avoid multitasking. How long does it really take? Shouldn't go over 3 hours or so at max I'd guess.
