After backing up movies usind DVD DECRYPT and DVD SHRINK, a backup dvd may play okay at first but it seems that later there's pixelization/breakup up the video and freezing. It has happened on my HP dvd writer and even the new Dual layer dvd writer I've installed. Anyone have any idea what goes on?

What kind of media are you using and what speed did you burn at?

I've been using TDK DVD +R (8X), but I've also used (4X) FUJI with a similar problem.

sounds like media is the issue here. You say that they play fine at first, then after a while they look worse? Definitely sounds like your media is breaking down.
