Forgive me if anyone has come across this answer before. I've been searching the forums and cannot seem to find an answer to this yet.
I've tried the "PS2 PAL to NTSC Video Mode Changer with Y-FIX" with a PAL .iso file.
At first I didn't realize it was in PAL format so it played in a rolling black and white screen.
After I patched the file, (supposedly successfully) and burnt (successful as well, no errors were mentioned) the disc went past the "Playstation 2" screen but remained black after that. A slight flash inbetween like when any game loads from one screen to the next but that's it.
I gave it another shot. Different program, different selection, converted the iso over again.
In the PAL to NTSC program I checked off the "Make PN Selector". Game only works when in NTSC mode though. (not NTSC mode with Y. Fills the entire screen, not cut off, for me at least.)
I don't think it had any difference but I tried DVD Decrypter (made sure it was burning at 1x, even though it did it at about 2.4x) and like I said, did the converted iso over again.
Just thought that I'd add this bit in case anyone else is having the same problem.
I have an OFF TOPIC question here. I have a SLIM LINE PS2 and I'm trying to transfer a save from my PC. Is there a way to burn this to DVD so that it can be copied? I've heard that Slim Lines don't respond to the INdepence Exploit And also... if you can copy a save to your memory card from a Demo Disc why can't you do it with a DVD R?
Alright, my problem continues. The disc I made from the patch plays the PAL version, the NTSC version but not the NTSC Y-axis version. Why is this? Any ideas?
(edited): i'm trying to think of anything that could be the problem. is it the V1.06 Beta version? Too new? Newer versions out there? My PS2 never has a problem with +R discs but in this case could that be the error?
