I use a felt tip pen for DVD's & inkjet labels for CDR's. Would prefer to print directly on the discs. Can you print to any disc surface or only certian ones?

What do you guy's use for this?

I love my R200! One tip is that after you print on the CD/DVD and the ink is good and dry spray a lite coat of Krylon or some other clear acrylic spray over the top to protect it.
It makes the DVD look very professional and a nice glossy finish.
I use SureThing CD/DVD labeler program to print on the DVD.
I scan the original DVD on my Visioneer scanner set to 300 DPI and a 5.5"x5.5" custom size.
When I print on the DVD using the R200 it looks exactly like the original DVD!
I love it!

bratcher.............
No, you CAN'T print on any disc surface. You have to buy "Inkjet Printable" discs. They aren't hard to find. I got some Fuji printable discs at Sam's Club, and they have worked out great. Only thing I don't like about these is that they don't print all the way to the center hole. They have burned and printed very well.
I've seen a different brand at Staples and Wal Mart.

The Epson R200 is a great printer. The price of $49 that was given, is outstanding! I paid $80 at Sam's, and thought that was good..............

JVC - yes sams also has verbatims at reasonable prices too 16X are only about $2.00 more than the 8X dvd's they also sell VERBATIM slim video dvd cases (50ct. pack) about $12.00 & change ! also EZinkjets.com has good prices on ink and free shipping ! I use my Epson CX -5200 to print my dvd covers and the cheapest I can find the EPSON branded cartridges for my CX-5200 is $45.00 + tax I bought generic replacements from EZinkjets .com on sale for$24.89 for which I recieved - 3 black cartridges 2 yellow , 2 CYAN & 2 Magenta ! and as of yet I have had no problems! they also sell ink/supplies for most brands of printers copiers/fax ect. They also sell a continous ink system that goes for $89.99 which if I understood their ad will work with the epson R-200/300 printers which might be just the thing if you are into printing a lot of dvd's for your collection! check'em out ! I don't work for any of these companies- sams or ezinkjets.com I',m a workin' on the railroad but I like to pass along ggod deals when I find them ! sorry for running off at the keyboard! so Thanx fer listening my friend JVC ! and all My afterdawn.com friends - PEACE & HAPPY BURNING!
