Ok i just got this Burner about two weeks ago and the damm thing wont Burn more then 1x and it making me NUTZ, Im using Memorex Media(ritekr03)and it just burns at 1x please help.

I updated the Firmware to the newest and still nothing

Make sure you're in DMA mode. http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking%20DMA.pdf

How is the jumper set on back? If you have more than one dvd/cd drive on the same IDE channel the dvdrw needs to be master.

well thanks for theh help i found a good how to fix it looks like was in PIO mode so i just deleted some Registry and it went back to DMA mode

You're welcome. Glad to hear it. In the future you might want to avoid memorex media. Most of it is made by crapola cmc mag. You got lucky and got some ritek's but probably won't next time.
